Regarding the cooler diode, the effect is very small. It could be just air moving that cool it. Put it in a box and run another test, it would be quite strange if it actually got cooler. Since the effect is so small it could be because of external factors like air movement from the motor or you being close. Saw you other video measuring the temp of the diode, its quite strange indeed if your temp device is measuring correctly. Some years ago there was a tech news about some university that had made a new LED that put out more effect than beeing fed to it. The explanation was that it somehow drawed heat from the surroundings and this was boosting output power and taking that into account it was no over unity device. But a device that cools the surrounding air and can use it to increase the effect it quite interesting. But i cant find the news page about that LED any more, maybe they took it offline.

Congratulations friend! This active system is really cool! Ask me a question, please, see if I understand correctly... This circuit board with the transformer is a 12Vdc to 290Vac inverter, right? You added a diode rectifying to positive half a wave of the inverter output next to the capacitor and this positive current was connected to the spark plug ground, and the other side of the inverter output is connected to the set of diodes rectifying the negative and this is connected to the central electrode of the spark plug. One question, would this arrangement, exactly as shown in the video, work in a vehicle? From what I understand, the positive current leaving the inverter is being grounded to the spark plug housing, wouldn't this cause a short in the vehicle's system? If this experiment is just a demonstration, do you have any circuit you can share so I can create an active capacitive ignition system in my vehicle? Thanks.

Can you tell me why the distance between the capacitor and the spark plug affects the performance of the circuit?
